An interesting home at 609 Lockhart on our Christmas Tour, is the rock veneer residence of Mr. and Mrs. R.W. McKinley. Built in 1942, the house was then the home of Dr. and Mrs. George Bechtel.  Dr. Bechtel was a professor at Sul Ross State University.  In 2000, Bill and Janie White bought the house and restored the floors back to the original hardwood, and in the TV room the floor is the original mosaic tile. 

The residence has been fully restored along with the mother-in-law house in the rear.
