Historic Alpine is very active in contributing to Keep Alpine Beautiful. A clean-up day was held last spring when Board members, local volunteers and Boy Scouts picked up more than 45 bags of trash. Along with the clean-up day, Historic Alpine gave the city of Alpine six wrought-iron trash receptacles to be placed in the downtown area. These should improve the appearance of Alpine for all to enjoy.
As an ongoing project, Historic Alpine has adopted several beautification projects, such as the planting and care of trees and flowers and by the installation of decorative walls. Old Towne Square, shown in the photo, is just such a project. Two additional corners in this area appear the same, making a very pleasing sight.
